Too Much
Piling On: Much "Too Much"
Guy Clark's song "Too Much" starts like this:

Too much workin'll make your back ache
Too much trouble'll bring you heartbreak
Too much limo'll stretch your budget
Too much diet'll make you fudge it.

The form of the song seems to me to invite one to pile on more layers--so I did, as follows:

Too much sweat'll make you sticky
Too much cool'll make you picky
Too much fear'll make you quit
Too much bluster'll get you hit
Too much coffee'll make you jitter
Too much decaf'll make you a sitter
Too much truth'll burst your bubble
Too much lie'll get you in trouble
Too much pride'll make you hollow
Too much humility'll make you wallow
Too much succor'll make you one
Too much Scrooge'll be no fun
Too much blues'll make you flat
Too much cheer'll make life pat
Too much sugar'll insult your blood
Too much Equal'll be a dud
Too much held in'll bite your tongue
Too much sass'll get your bell rung
Too much originality'll be a high hurdle
Too much cheese'll make you curdle
Too much adoring'll drop your jaw
Too much debunking'll fill your craw
Too much party'll make you sick
Too much stay-home'll mean no kick
Too much grooming'll make you prissy
Too much the slob'll mean no kissy
Too much gambling'll fray your nerves
Too much sure-thing'll mean no verve
Too much sun'll make you a raisin
Too much shade'll be an evasion
Too much meat'll give you plaque
Too much veggie'll make you slack
Too much work'll tie you down
Too much play'll make you a clown
Too much talking'll make you numb
Too much silence'll make you dumb
Too much info'll make you blush
Too much reticence'll make you hush
Too much desire'll make you greedy
Too much eschewal'll make you needy
Too much workout'll strain a lat
Too much couch time'll mean more fat
Too much explaining'll kill the joke
Too much cryptic'll cloud like smoke
Too much youth'll mean low pay
Too much age'll make you gray.

Hi Bruce,
I smiled a lot as I looked! Sometimes I didn't quite understand, other times I did! Keep doing this! You are a fun thinker!

No longer pray for an outcome. Just do the footwork, if I can see any. I just pray for the grace to willing accept what the outcome will be.
